Keeping your vehicle in good condition doesn't have to be complicated. With a bit of regular attention, you can maintain your car's appearance and performance and avoid costly repairs down the line.

1. Wash Your Car Regularly

Bird droppings, road grime, and tree sap are acidic and can damage paint over time. Wash your car at least every two weeks, and rinse off contaminants as soon as you notice them.

2. Keep the Interior Clean

Regular vacuuming and wiping down surfaces prevents dirt from building up and keeps your cabin looking fresh. Use appropriate products for different surfaces — leather, fabric, and plastic each have different needs.

3. Check Tyre Pressure Monthly

Under-inflated tyres wear unevenly, affect fuel efficiency, and reduce handling performance. Check your tyre pressure monthly and before any long trip.

4. Top Up Fluids Regularly

Engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and windscreen washer fluid should all be checked regularly. Running low on any of these can cause serious mechanical problems.

5. Apply Paint Protection

A quality wax or sealant applied every few months provides a barrier against UV damage, oxidation, and minor scratches. It also makes your car easier to clean.

6. Address Small Dents and Scratches Early

Minor paint chips and scratches can lead to rust if left untreated. Touch them up quickly or book a minor repair before the damage spreads.

7. Park Smartly

Whenever possible, park in a garage or shaded area to reduce UV exposure. Be cautious in tight car parks to avoid door dings and minor scrapes.

8. Follow Your Service Schedule

Regular servicing keeps mechanical components in good working order and catches issues before they become expensive problems. Follow the manufacturer's recommended service intervals.
